Bangkok at first glance Part 3

Wat Pho
Our trip took place end of march 2016. March, april is the hot season in Thailand. And yeah it was very f*** hot! Having a cold, walking around in 38 Celsius and round 85% humidity is not that cool. But it was worth. The next day we made it to the Palace. We explored it and took so many pictures. After we needed a break and sat next to the river in the shade. There was this old man next to us who explaned that we just visited a temple (Wat Pho) and the Grand Palace would be next to it. We should go the day after tomorrow. Because he was off the next day. It turned out that he was working at the Palace. What a coincidence!

We never went to see the temple it was just to hot to wear long trousers...
In exchange we visited some more temples such as the Golden Mount (Wat Saket) where you have a nice view over the city and the weekend market (Chatuchak Market). This must be the biggest market of Thailand. More than 12'000 stands sell everything. We bought t-shirts, hats, scarfs, fruits, drinks and much more and it was so cheap! Go and make your deal...

Bangkoks China Town was a good change. It was so hard to find because my app did not work properly. So we took a taxi. This China Town is not much different than any other China Town in the World. I just like to see different parts of the city.
my favourite restaurant

Two places are there still that I wan two share with you. Zanzibar at Sukhumvit 11 is a very nice place to go for a drink or a good glass of wine. But beware it is not a very cheap place. But they have good live music. The second advise is in Skhumvit Soi 2 near the Icon Hotel. It is a restaurant thai style. Street food at its best. They cook on the road freshly made and very delicious. 3 Main dishes and 2 beers for less than 8 CHF/EUR. We ate like tree times here. You got hungry? No problem they have a phone just give a call. They do deliveries :-)
